Kul has been attracted to percussion and music beats from a very young age. Beginning formal tabla training from the age of 10, he has continued practicing ever since. In 2010, he learned to play the dhol drums and soon found himself performing across Melbourne and interstate for classical indian music shows, weddings and numerous corporate events, both solo and with music bands.

Growing up in Melbourne, Kul has always been inspired by musicians performing on the international level including Talvin Singh, Karshe Kale, Ravi Shankar, Zakir Hussain and The Dhol Foundation.

Kul really enjoys the excitement of performing at weddings and large events and he especially loves seeing the tremendous smiles that spectators display when the drum beats begin to roll…
